Compliance with the law, the codes and the regulations

As a contractor or an owner-builder, you have certain commitments towards the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) and your clients. You also have legal duties with regard to the Building Act, the Construction Code, the Safety Code, as well as the regulations which are administered by the RBQ.

Chapters of the Construction Code

The various chapters from the Construction Code relate to specific fields of activity. You have the responsibility to apply these requirements, just like the designers of plans and specifications.
