Report your hoursNo books are available for this purpose at our offices. However, several of these documents are available at the Publications du Québec’s website. Other books can also be found at the library and in bookstores.
If you fail or are absent from an exam for the first time, you will receive a failure notice by mail. You will have 30 days from the date of the notice to send us your comments and submit an application to retake the examination [Fr] – PDF (214 KB). If you do not register for the retake within the allotted time, a refusal decision will be issued. You will then have to wait 4 months from the date of that decision before being allowed to take the exam again.
If you fail or are absent from a retake exam, you will have to wait 4 months before applying again for your licence. However, if you take courses given by associations which are recognized by the RBQ, you may present such certifications without having to wait the aforementioned period of 4 months. These certifications will exempt you from taking our examinations.
