Ski lifts

If you are not familiar with the use of ski lifts, ask for the attendants’ help. These persons are committed to your safety!

For a successful ski-run, make sure first to ride up safely

While waiting for your turn to ride up, get yourself ready:

  • Remove your wrists from the strap of your ski poles.
  • Attach your clothes thoroughly.
  • Free up a foot from your bindings if you do snowboard.
  • Avoid letting a group of children ride up without being accompanied by an adult.

Pay special attention to the pace of the embarkment in order to be ready and set when your turn comes.

The embarkment

To embark, stand on the line marking the point of embarkment, to get on board smoothly and to avoid being hit by a moving chair. Take the time to embark comfortably, deep into your seat.

The ride up

As soon as you are seated, lower the safety bar to reduce the risk of falling from the height of your chair lift. At all times, do not jump in the chairs and avoid swinging them.

At the approach of the landing place, prepare yourself to disembark. Pictograms warn you about the remaining distance before reaching the landing place and the direction which you will have to go immediately to clear the point of disembarkment.

The disembarkment

For disembarking, wait until you arrive at the pictogram telling you to lift up your safety bar. Then, be careful not to move too close to the edge of the seat so as to avoid falling if the lift comes to a sudden stop. Disembark directly to the spot marked on the disembarkment ramp, and then clear the landing place to avoid being run into by the next passengers arriving after you.
