6.2 Contractor – Wood and plastic work

This subclass authorizes non-structural wood or plastic construction work such as finish carpentry as well as similar or related construction work.    

Additional explanations

This subclass is included, in its entirety, in subclass 6.1.

This subclass authorizes, without exceeding the regulatory framework, construction work relating to:

  • parquet works
  • shelves and shelving systems
  • cabinets and countertops manufactured in the plant (12.0)
  • cabinets and countertops built on site
  • mouldings
  • anchors for blinds and heavy drapes  
  • steps, railings and guardrails
  • the assembly and installation of playground equipment.

NO LICENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THE FOLLOWING:

  • the installation of decorative shelves, small mirrors and bathroom accessories (soap dishes, towel racks, mirrors), vertical and horizontal blinds, drapes, curtains, venetian blinds 
  • screen repairs
  • the installation and removal of a canvas canopy 
  • the erection and assembly of playground equipment on a freestanding base.
