A specialized contractor's licence is required for any contractor whose main activity consists in carrying out, or having carried out, construction work in one of the 49 subclasses.

A specialized contractor may carry out, or have carried out, work included in their licence subclass(es) in any of the situations below, regardless of the type of building, installation or work involved.
