Adding a field of qualification

To add a field of qualification for a guarantor, you need to submit an application to modify your licence to the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ). You must complete a licence application form and check the box indicating that you are requesting a modification. You will have to pay any applicable fees or charges. Competency evaluation

The new guarantor may be required to write examinations to evaluate their competency in the desired field of qualification—administration, construction site safety management, project and site management, or the carrying out of construction work. Go to How competency is evaluated to see the three competency evaluation methods the RBQ offers, as well as possible exemptions.
