Find arbitration decisions

You can consult decisions rendered under the arbitration procedure set out in the Regulation respecting the guarantee plan for new residential buildings. Arbitration is available to beneficiaries (consumers) and contractors who dispute a Guarantee Plan manager’s decision.

You can consult these decisions in several ways.

To consult decisions as soon as they are published, visit the websites of the arbitration bodies recognized by the RBQ:

• Groupe d’arbitrage et de médiation sur mesure inc. (GAMM) [Fr]

You can download full-text decisions using the search engine on the Société québécoise d’information juridique (SOQUIJ) website.

SOQUIJ’s role

With the approval of the arbitration bodies, SOQUIJ has a service agreement with the RBQ to:

• summarize arbitration decisions;
• summarize subsequent court rulings on these arbitration decisions;
• index the content of decisions according to a predetermined list of topics;
• produce an annotated Regulation based on rendered decisions;
• make available the full text of decisions.
