These decisions have been sent to the Régie du bâtiment du Québec by arbitration bodies. Thus, there might be a slight delay between the moment a decision is published on one of these bodies’ website and the moment the RBQ publishes it.

If you need to consult these decisions as soon as they are published, please consult the websites of the four arbitration bodies recognized by the RBQ:

Decisions by section

In accordance with a service agreement, the Société québécoise d’information juridique (SOQUIJ) has been designated by the RBQ, with the agreement of the arbitration bodies, to:

  • summarize arbitration decisions
  • summarize subsequent judgments rendered by the courts with respect to arbitration decisions
  • index the content of decisions according to a predetermined list of subjects
  • make available the full text of the summarized decisions
  • establish an annotated regulation from jurisprudence.

You can consult the Annotated Regulation respecting the guarantee plan for new residential buildings [Fr] – PDF (1,2 MB) which groups all the rendered decisions by section. This document may help you see the trends for different arbitration cases.
